Base Area Summer Activities

Don’t miss out on all the adventure at the Base Area. Check out The Land Up – an array of family-friendly activities located at the base of the Steamboat Ski Area. Consider The Land Up Day Pass for a day full of fun with unlimited activities (including unlimited scenic chairlift rides and unlimited Mountain Coaster rides). These activities include:

The Land Up single use tickets are good for the 2019 summer season. Early season Land Up Day Passes will be available for use between May 25 thru June 9, while limited activities will be available. Get additional details and purchase your tickets HERE.

Burgess Creek Beach (above)

Need to cool off on a hot Steamboat summer day? Take the entire family up to the Burgess Creek Beach at the base of the ski area. Burgess Creek runs down from the mountain and into the base area offering a great cool off spot. Grab a red chair on the sandy beach and watch the kids play amongst the rocks and wading pools. Make sure to pack a picnic for lunch or grab a snack & drink from the Taco Beast. And don’t forget the sand toys!


While you’re visiting the Steamboat base area, make sure to check out the retail shops on the mountain that are open all summer including the Steamboat Bike Shop, Steamboat Mercantile, The Grand Gift Shop, Gondola General, Christy Sports, Sheraton Gift Shops, more!
