Reservations & Guest Experience Agent

Position: Reservations & Guest Experience Agent

Reports to: Guest Experience Manager

Status: Full-time, Year-round

Job Description: The Reservations & Guest Experience Agent is responsible for ensuring every guest has a positive and memorable experience with Steamboat Lodging Company. They provide extraordinary, world-class service while handling all daily and weekly tasks associated with guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints. The ideal candidate is a relationship builder, positive and professional, has an upbeat personality with the desire to deliver outstanding customer service. Successful agents have advanced conflict-resolution skills and the ability to “make it right” for every guest.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Answer all guest phone calls and listen attentively to each guest as a unique individual and attend to their compliment, concern, or complaint in a timely way
  • Complete all reservations and guest experience team tasks accurately and in a timely manner
  • Obtain and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of all lodging properties, policies, and procedures
  • Deliver exemplary guest service to satisfy and surpass guest expectations and to ensure a world class experience
  • Assist with making guest reservations.

Skills:

  • Outstanding customer service skills including full fluency in speaking, reading, and writing English  
  • Ability to interact in a friendly, professional and comfortable manner with staff and guests via phone, email and in person

Qualifications:

  • College or University degree preferred in Communications/Public Relations or a minimum of one year experience in a guest services role
  • Hold a valid driver’s license
  • Excellent computer skills, ability to learn new software quickly
  • Able to organize, plan ahead, and manage workload in positive manner
  • Be able to type 40 wpm
  • Able to lift at least 25 pounds

Work Hours and Days:

  • 5 days per week to equal 40 hours. Days and shifts will vary
  • All work to be completed at the Steamboat Lodging Company off or at properties.
  • One night per week of after office hours “on-call” for any guest issues


Shuttle Driver

Reports To: Shuttle Liaison 

Status: Full-time, Seasonal

Job Summary:  We consider the members of our Transportation Team to be the face of our company. With no physical check-in process for our guests, often times the only person-to-person interactions we have with them is in the shuttle. The ideal candidate for this position is someone with an equally strong background in customer service as well as deep rooted knowledge of Steamboat in order to add personalized value to our guest experience. As a shuttle driver, you will be expected to maintain effective communication with our shuttle liaison and the rest of the team in order to operate an efficient loop system, as well as redirect based on guest requests.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to all guest and owner requests including but not limited to: transportation to ski area and downtown, delivery of linens and supplies, requests that need to be purchased and delivered promptly
  • Use radio communication to maintain efficient shuttle service in accordance with shuttle liaison requirements, plan each route based on road and traffic conditions, and obey all traffic rules
  • Help passengers load/unload luggage, ski equipment, and report any lost and found belongings. 
  • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance services for the vehicle
  • Answer passenger questions and provide local insights to appropriately heighten their Steamboat experience
  • Arrive on time daily in order to prepare the vehicle for shift ahead
  • Assisting in all duties as assigned

Housekeeper

Reports To: Housekeeping Manager

Type: Full-time, Part-time, Year-round or Seasonal

Job Summary: Housekeeping is the name of the game and our brand depends on an unforgettable experience that starts with professionally cleaned homes. We are seeking hard-working individuals and teams that will uphold our values in order to maintain the utmost cleanliness and professionalism in all of our vacation rental properties. As a housekeeper, you will become familiar with the layout of all properties ranging from 1-6 bedrooms to ensure that they are set up the same upon each guest/owner departure.  During peak season the position may necessitate overtime.

Responsibilities:

  • Create a welcoming environment for our guests and owners by ensuring homes are clean and cared for in accordance with company standards 
  • Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting all surfaces
  • Replacing sheets, towels, toiletries, and maintaining stocking levels of all consumables (dish soap, detergent, trash bags)
  • Move all reasonably portable furniture in rooms to clean under and behind
  • Collect and remove trash and debris
  • Communicate with coworkers and software via portable digital devices 
  • Identify and note any damages in homes to housekeeping manager 
  • Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of any company-related practices

Qualifications:

  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
  • Ability to quickly learn/adapt to software applications for scheduling, maintenance tasks, ect.

  • Ability to lift 75+ pounds
  • Ability to speak english fluently- Spanish is a plus
  • Detail oriented
  • Housekeeping experience preferred 
  • High School diploma or GED


Staff Accountant

Reports To: Controller

Type: Full-time, Year-Round

Job Summary: The Staff accountant is responsible for assisting in creating accurate financial statements, payroll,  and revenue management.  They provide extraordinary, world-class service to both vendors and employees while handling all daily and weekly tasks associated with financial documents, accounts payable, and account receivable. The ideal candidate would be positive and professional, and is self-motivated and detailed orientated.

Responsibilities:

  • Audit and process monthly credit card bills.
  • Accurately review, code, and processes vendor invoices. 
  • Prepare and process sales tax.
  • Process account receivable reconciliation.
  • Data entry of pricing details for properties. 
  • Entering accounts receivables to reservations.
  • Create spreadsheets for analysis.

Qualifications:

  • College or University degree preferred in Accounting/Finance or a minimum of one year experience in a finance or accounting.
  • Hold a valid driver’s license.
  • Excellent computer skills, ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
  • QuickBooks Online experience. 
  • Eye for detail, accuracy is imperative.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
