Flying to Steamboat:

The Hayden Airport offers TRAVEL CONVENIENCE  for the Steamboat visitor.

The Yampa Valley Regional Airport is called the Hayden (HDN) airport and has direct flights from eight major North American cities. This airport is just 27miles from downtown Steamboat.  Some of our visitors choose to fly into the Denver International Airport and we help guests with ground transportation. Advance booking is recommended.

Driving to Steamboat:

From the Denver International Airport:  Take I-70 West for approximately 78 miles.  At the Dillon/Silverthorne Exit #205, go North on CO. 9 for approximately 37 miles.  When you reach Kremmling, turn left onto US Highway 40 West and continue for approximately 50 miles over Rabbit Ears Pass.  When you drop into the beautiful Yampa Valley, you will be on the main “drag” in Steamboat~ Lincoln Avenue. It’s time to start your vacation!

From the Hayden/Yampa Valley Regional Airport: When leaving the airport, turn right at the end of the airport access road onto US Highway 40 East.  Highway 40 becomes Lincoln Avenue, downtown Steamboat.

Go Alpine- Ground Transportation offered from the Denver and Hayden Airports

We work with Go Alpine, a local shuttle service offering Shared Rides from the Denver and Hayden Airports in addition to Private Vehicle Service. This service picks up and drops off passengers door to door within the city limits of Steamboat Springs. Shared ride service means that several stops are made to pick-up or drop off passengers.

To receive a 15% discount on all ground transportation, call our guest experience team at (970) 457-4785 and we can make all transportation arrangements for you.

Alamo Car Rentals at the Denver International Airport

Steamboat Lodging Company works directly with Alamo Car Rentals in Denver. Our guest experience team can arrange for discounted rentals on cars, 4-wheel drive SUV’s and minivans. The Alamo pick up and drop off area is located near the main baggage claim/Jeppesen Terminal and an Alamo shuttle will pick up and drop off guests at point 6, on the 5th level of the terminal. Please remember during winter months, we highly recommend that you rent a four-wheel drive vehicle for Steamboat winter conditions. Call our guest experience team for discounted rental rates.
