Alpine Skiing & Snowboarding

World-class skiing and world-class snow await you in Steamboat Springs. Whether you’re taking turns at the Steamboat Ski Resort, soaking in the heritage at Howelsen Hill, or ripping up the backcountry with a snowcat guide, skiing & snowboarding in Steamboat is not to be missed.

Steamboat Resort

Colorado’s premier family-friendly ski resort consists of multiple mountains & peaks including Mount Werner, Sunshine Peak, Storm Peak, Thunderhead Peak, Pioneer Ridge, and Christie Peak. Boasting 18 lifts, 165 trails, and over 3000 skiable acres, Steamboat is the perfect place for the beginner to the expert skiers & snowboarders. Click here to visit their website.

Howelsen Hill

Howelsen Hill is Colorado’s oldest continuously operated ski area, since 1915 and is a local favorite plus the ski area has produced more Olympians (89!) than any other ski area in the world. Make sure to check out the Olympic ski jumps while you’re ridging the lifts. Click here to visit their website.

Backcountry Skiing

The peaks & passes surrounding Steamboat can offer some of the deepest snow in Colorado but make sure to check it out with a guide. Our recommendation is Steamboat Powdercats, a full-service snow-cat guide company that you can take by yourself or with a private group.

Lift Tickets

We offer up to 20% off lift tickets to Steamboat Resort when booking with Steamboat Lodging Company. Call 970-457-4785 for details (prices & discounts may vary).
