Home Stager

Reports To: Housekeeping & Inspections Manager

Status: Full-time, part-time, seasonal

Salary: $19-$21 per hour

Job Summary: 

We like to think of our Home Stagers as being in charge of “first impressions”. Home stagers are  responsible for putting the ‘finishing touches’ on each of the vacation rentals we manage prior to guest and owner arrivals. They conduct inspections of all vacation rental properties to make sure the properties are secure, ensure standards of cleaning are met, and they provide the guest gifts to each arrival. Maybe more importantly, they “stage” the home to be ready for the arrival including placing pillows just right, finding a few errant pieces of trash under the bed, or rearranging the kitchen to be presentable and feel clean to the guest. During peak seasons (Christmas holidays, especially) the position may necessitate overtime. This job is well suited for a detailed oriented person who has an eye for making a room look styled vs. just clean. They must be comfortable with the pressure of busy days, but also find fulfillment in going the extra mile to make homes look ready for a discerning guest or owner.  

Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed inspections of properties prior to owner and guest arrivals to ensure that the condition of the property meets the expectations of owners and guests. 
  • Will become familiar with the layout of every property (where furniture and decor goes) to ensure the property is set up the same upon each arrival. 
  • Taking on small repairs and minor maintenance tasks i.e. changing light bulbs, tightening cabinet knobs, minor deck/porch shoveling, etc
  • Report all extensive cleaning and maintenance related issues to housekeeping manager and maintenance personnel.
  • Proactively offer up suggestions for improvement for each home to the Homeowner Liaison Team
  • Complete detailed checklists per inspection as well as communicate with coworkers via software and portable digital devices 
  • Drive and maintain company vehicles safely and to a high standard of cleanliness reporting any vehicle needs to supervisor in a timely fashion.
  • Assist in meeting any guest needs that arise including, delivering amenities, removing items, etc
  • During busy times, may have to strip beds and pack sheets/towels for housekeeping team
  • During non-peak times, assist in other department projects within the company 

Qualifications:

  • The ability to multi-task and delegate work amongst multiple employees is a must have for this position.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office (Excel & Word) and ability to quickly learn/adapt to other software applications
  • Clean, professional appearance
  • Ability to lift 75+ pounds
  • Ability to speak english fluently- Spanish is a plus
  • Detail oriented
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
  • High School diploma or GED

Shuttle Driver

Reports To: Shuttle Driver Manager

Status: Part-time, seasonal

Salary: $20 per hour + tips. This is a well tipped position!

Job Summary: 

We consider the members of our Transportation Team to be the face of our company. With no physical check-in process for our guests, oftentimes the only person-to-person interactions we have with them is in the shuttle. The ideal candidate for this position is someone with an equally strong background in customer service as well as deep rooted knowledge of Steamboat in order to add personalized value to our guest experience. As a shuttle dispatcher, you will be expected to maintain effective communication between shuttle requests and drivers to operate an efficient loop system, as well as redirect based on guest requests.

Responsibilities:

  • Use radio and text communication to maintain efficient shuttle service in accordance with shuttle liaison requirements, plan each route based on road and traffic conditions, and obey all traffic rules
  • Ability to use specific shuttle iPhone app & corresponding technology to schedule rides for winter guests
  • Respond to all guest and owner requests including but not limited to: transportation to ski area and downtown, delivery of linens and supplies, requests that need to be purchased and delivered promptly
  • Answer passenger questions and provide local insights to appropriately heighten their Steamboat experience
  • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance services for the vehicle
  • Arrive on time daily in order to prepare vehicles for shift ahead
  • Assisting in all duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • The ability to multi-task and communicate well with other employees is a must for this position
  • Proficient use of iPhone technology
  • Proficient use of Google Sheets and ability to quickly learn/adapt to other software applications
  • Dependable, punctual, and organized
  • Clean, professional appearance
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds
  • Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and be a resident to Steamboat
  • High School diploma

Housekeeper

Reports To: Housekeeping & Inspections Manager

Status: Full-time, part-time, seasonal

Salary: Up to $25 per hour

Job Summary: 

Housekeeping is the name of the game and our brand depends on an unforgettable experience that starts with professionally cleaned homes. We are seeking hard-working individuals and teams that will uphold our values in order to maintain the utmost cleanliness and professionalism in all of our vacation rental properties. As a housekeeper, you will become familiar with the layout of all properties ranging from 1-7 bedrooms to ensure that they are set up the same upon each guest/owner departure. 

Responsibilities:

  • Create a welcoming environment for our guests and owners by ensuring homes are clean and cared for in accordance with company standards 
  • Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting all surfaces
  • Replacing sheets, towels, toiletries, and maintaining stocking levels of all consumables (dish soap, detergent, trash bags)
  • Move all reasonably portable furniture in rooms to clean under and behind
  • Collect and remove trash and debris
  • Communicate with coworkers and software via portable digital devices 
  • Identify and note any damages in homes to housekeeping manager 
  • Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of any company-related practices
  • Ability to adapt to a fast paced & changing schedule, especially during winter months

Qualifications:

  • Must apply with a partner in mind
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
  • Weekend availability, (Friday-Sunday)
  • Ability to quickly learn/adapt to software applications for scheduling, maintenance tasks, ect. 
  • Clean, professional appearance
  • Ability to lift 75+ pounds
