Steamboat Lodging Company Policies

The following policies and procedures have been put in place to ensure a consistent, professional service for both guests and the property owners of our vacation homes and condos.

Steamboat Lodging Company Cancellation Policy

After booking your reservation you will have 24 hours to cancel with no penalty, unless your stay has already begun. We strongly encourage you to purchase vacation insurance which will protect your vacation investment against unforeseen circumstances (see below).

The cancellation policy below applies to bookings made directly through our website or by calling our office. Bookings made through any third party booking platform are subject to the cancellation policy of that particular booking platform.

Refund of Cancelled Reservations:

  • Bookings cancelled at least 30 days before the start of stay will receive 100% refund.
  • Bookings cancelled 29 or fewer days before start of stay will not receive any refund.
  • If the state of Colorado, and/or the home state of the person booking, is in a shelter in place mandate during the scheduled dates of the booking, the booking will be refunded in full.
  • If Steamboat Resort suspends or cancels the 2020/2021 ski season and a guest has an upcoming winter stay during the dates of the suspension or closure that has not arrived, they can cancel their stay for a full refund.
  • If Steamboat Resort suspends or cancels the 2020/2021 ski season and a guest is in house but wants to depart early, they will receive a refund for any nights they haven't used, but will pay the full cleaning fee. 
  • There will be no refunds for fear of travel, possible or confirmed exposure to COVID-19, or quarantine advisory. Please ask us about travel insurance to cover you in these situations.
  • Subject to the policy above, if you are unable to secure daily lift tickets during the days of your stay, there will be no refund.
  • If you booked your vacation through a third party (Vrbo/Airbnb) and need to cancel for a non-COVID reason, please check with them directly on their cancellation policies.

If you purchased the optional Travel Insurance, that insurance premium will not be refunded. We strongly recommend purchasing Travel Insurance.

Vacation Rental Travel Insurance

You never know when something will come up that could put a halt to your vacation plans.  Whether a family member gets sick, or you get stuck on a closed road, we understand that vacation plans can change and for this reason, recommend that all of our guests purchase quality travel insurance prior to their vacation.

In partnership with Red Sky Travel Insurance, we are pleased to offer our guests Vacation Rental Travel Protection.  This Travel Protection program is a great way to protect your family‚Äôs vacation purchase in case of many unexpected emergency situation that may occur.  Cost for the travel protection is 6.95% of the total cost of your booked lodging.   This policy if offered to all guests when they pay their rental deposit, but coverage is only once the total premium is paid.   Contact our team at Steamboat Lodging Company to receive a complete Description of Coverage document, or click below to view our quick reference and benefit outline guide.

Travel Protection can be added at the time of booking or within 30 days prior to your arrival.    If you choose not to purchase travel insurance, please be advised of our cancellation terms detailed above.

Steamboat Lodging Company Rental Agreement

When you book a vacation rental with Steamboat Lodging Company, you are agreeing to the rental terms and conditions outlined in our Vacation Rental Agreement.   You will be emailed a copy of the rental agreement at the time of booking, and may review the details of our rental agreement below.
