Winter Solstice Snowshoe
US Forest Service Office
Date: 12/21/2019 - 12/21/2019
Starts: 10:00am
Ends: 2:00pm
Yampatika's Winter Solstice Program is a moderately strenuous snowshoe tour taking place on Rabbit Ears Pass on the first official day of winter! You will explore this winter wonderland with a Naturalist looking for animal tracks and learning about what animals do during the winter! Learn more about what happens on a solstice and why they occur.
The route will vary depending on snow conditions, group size, and the weather. If the driving conditions are not favorable and safe to drive up the pass, then the group will move the destination closer to town.
