Run Rabbit Run 50 & 100 Mile
- Location: Steamboat Resort base area, 2305 Mt. Werner Circle
- Starts: 9:00 AM
- Ends: 11:59 PM
One of the world's richest 100-mile trail races climbs Mount Werner, crosses the Continental Divide toward Rabbit Ears Peak, and loops over Emerald Mountain. Spectating is free and the aspens usually peak the same weekend. The 100-mile course carries roughly 22,000 feet of climbing.

SAM Plein Air Event 2026
- Location: Steamboat Art Museum, 807 Lincoln Avenue
- Starts: All day
- Ends: 11:59 PM
Forty-five painters from around the country spend a week working outdoors across ranchlands, historic sites, and mountain overlooks as the aspens turn. You can watch artists at work in the field, then see the finished canvases arrive at the museum. Admission to Steamboat Art Museum is free.
