Very centrally located which makes walking to restaurants easy. Unit was clean, furnished well and the kitchen had everything one would need. We enjoy the building and the ski locker amenity. Our visit was perfect.

Small, but Conveniently Located
We always like staying in Howelsen Place because it is so conveniently located. The bus route makes getting to the slopes incredibly easy. This year, we stayed in A301 and it worked out well for a family of 3. Pros: Location, location, location - extremely accessible to town and, importantly, restaurants All the amenities of home - clean bathroom, working appliances, washer/dryer Plenty of linens to go around Plenty of plates/cups/glassware/silverware, might could use a few more coffee mugs, though! All instructions very clear and management provides detailed information via online and in-home documentation The included locker located at the mountain base is incredibly convenient and saves us quite a bit of money storing our gear. Excellent amenity to have. Property management was extremely attentive to a minor issue we had arise, Steamboat Lodging as a whole has always been on top of things. The included parking garage spot is a huge plus that will keep us coming back. Cons: This property was not well enough equipped for cooking, it needs some additional and/or new cooking utensils and pots/pans desperately. Some utensils were broken and pans were old/scratched teflon, so I purchased two inexpensive pans and left them for the next tenant. In this area, it was sparsely supplied and could use an update very much! We were almost always too hot at night, even in winter time. This can be good or bad depending on the person, but we found the bed to sleep very, very warm, so keep that in mind.

Great place with a great location if you want to stay in downtown Steamboat and not need a car. Access was easy and the communication was great. About the only complaint I have is that I would have preferred a larger bed. It was very comfortable but could easily have fit a king or even a queen. This one felt almost like a full.

Great Welcome Package!!! Thank You. Our Anniversary and the celebration began coming through the door with several treats. The BED was wonderful and the appointments in the condo were great. Cleanliness was perfect. Location was ideal, coming out the door to town, farmers market out your door on Saturday, then restaurants and Howelsen Hill and bike/walking path across the street. Thank You!

Location!!!
The location couldn’t be better. The condo was clean and tidy, kitchen had everything we needed. Bed was so comfy! We didn’t need to communicate we management since all the instructions were sent to us prior to arrival and made perfect sense. Thank you for a fun stay!

LOCATION is perfect for access to restaurants and the Steamboat bus system. If you ski, the use of the ski locker at the mountain is a major bonus! It really enhanced our skiing experience. The condo was very clean upon arrival. Kitchen is equipped with all the essential items ( pots, pans, two types of coffee makers, a tea kettle, sharp knives, plenty of dishes, glasses, containers).  Bed is very comfortable multiple pillows, shower works great, more than enough towels. Love the bench and hooks for our ski things. It seems like thought was given providing everything one would need for an enjoyable stay. Communication with manager could not be better. They are very quick and responsive to any questions that we had. My only issue was the peeling paint most likely caused by water damage above the kitchen island. Overall, we were very happy with this condo.

Can not beat the location!

Perfect Unit and location!
Wow! The unit was beautiful, modern, spacious, and the location was PRIME! The price was very reasonable, the management company was VERY helpful and generous, and the area was quiet yet central. The garbage was a little difficult to find, but we figured it out. You must stay here!

Steamboat visit
The property was perfect for our short stay in Steamboat. Location near the Yampa and dining on Lincoln is why we always look to stay at properties in Howlisen place. The unit was clean, well equipped and very quiet.

A few days in Steamboat
The property was as described, clean, and welcoming. Great location with secure parking in downtown Steamboat. Parking is across the alley and getting into buildings can be a bit confusing but great detailed instructions are provided.

The location was absolutely perfect for us. We walked to Holy Name Catholic Church for the wedding we were attending; walked to the rodeo Friday night, and walked to the river for tubing. The Saturday farmers market was literally out the front door. It is downtown, so the underground parking was appreciated. It has central air, which was much needed in the hot July weather. We had a couple of things that needed repair, and a friendly worker named Ben was sent out promptly. The bed is only queen sized, but comfortable. The bathroom is in the bedroom, so IDK how anyone else but kids would really stay-more for a single or couple.Many great restaurants very close by. We especially enjoyed Clyde’s for wood-fired pizza and Emerald’s coffee right downstairs. Small, but comfortable and certainly well located for all the action.

Perfect Location Wonderful stay
We stayed for 4 nights and had a wonderful time. The location was perfect. Across the street is the Yampa River with bars and restaurants on the banks of the river. The Farmers Market was on the street in front of us. There is tubing down the Yampa. The Howler Alpine Slide was so fun. The Art Fair, Strawberry Hot Springs, Beseme dinner was wonderful. A+++

A terrific spot to stay in Steamboat. So easy to walk to everything and there's an express shuttle to take you directly to the Resort daily. Private washer/dryer was fantastic and for a smaller family to stay there is plenty of space. Resort gear storage was the ticket! We would surely recommend and hope to come back.

Excellent stay!
Two buddies and myself stayed at this property while in town skiing Steamboat. A free city bus picks up right outside the place making for super easy access. We loved everything about the apartment! Very nice

Week of skiing and exploring downtown
Since this condo is located in middle of downtown Steamboat, you can walk right outside and to all the bars and restaurants without needing a rental car or shuttle. We took the free express bus from the stop outside the condo to the base area for skiing everyday. There was no need to drag all our ski gear on the bus since this condo has a locker at the base. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this rental.

Our first trip to Steamboat Springs was amazing, and we picked the most incredible place to stay in Downtown. Cannot say enough goods things about the place, starting with the great communication and detail instructions that made check in a breeze. The unit is fantastic, including a well equipped kitchen with pots and pans you're not afraid to use (unlike most places), a full size washer and dryer, a comfy bed and plenty of room to relax. Throw in a reserved parking spot in a secure garage - what more do you need? The location is perfect in downtown Steamboat - with great food, drinks and shopping just steps away. Can't wait to return - thanks much!

Great location to get to anything downtown or the free bus to the resort! We loved staying in this condo for the two of us and our 6 month old. The condo runs warm being surrounded by the other rooms so we didn’t even need to have the heat on for most of the weekend. All the amenities were great I side the unit and easy to get in when following directions. So nice to have a heated parking garage as well, but it is one building over just fyi. But not hard to get to. Didn’t hear any of the other tenants and the in unit laundry was priceless! Husband also loves having the board storage at the gondola so he didn’t have to lug his stuff back each day.

Exceptional
The condo was fantastic - very gorgeous, spacious, and well-stocked, and right in the center of town, near everything. But also very quiet. We never heard any of our neighbors or any outside noise. The bed and sofa were incredibly comfortable. We felt very fortunate to have found this rental for our stay.

We had a great stay in this little condo right in the heart of downtown Steamboat. Cozy unit, with well stocked kitchen, comfy furniture, nicest vibe. We loved opening up the windows in the evening for some fresh air. Also was nice to have A/C during the summer (a rarity but important for condo setting). As usual, Steamboat Lodging Company was super helpful and responsive when we had questions and when we needed some small repairs addressed. Can't go wrong, thanks for a great little holiday.

We were in town with our two boys for a baseball tournament. We could not have booked a better place. We were right in the middle of great restaurants and shopping and right across the street from the Yampa River. Building access and parking were easy. The unit was super clean, quiet, and nice inside. It was a great stay!

Perfect Downtown Location
This location couldn’t have been better for what we wanted. Walking distance to all the restaurants and bars downtown. A 10 min drive to the mountain. Would stay here again!

Howelsen Place A301 was a lovely condo to escape to! The unit was clean, neat, and well appointed. The staff at Steamboat Lodging was a quick text away ready and willing to help if needed. The location was within mere minutes on foot of anywhere we wanted to be. You will not be disappointed with this rental!

We stayed at this condo for a quick weekend getaway this fall and loved every minute of it! It was perfect for a couple (us) but has a pullout if you have additional guests or kiddos. The kitchen was fully stocked and having a washer & dryer in the condo was great. We loved parking our car and then walking everywhere we wanted to go. Some of our favorites - Mountain Tap Brewery & Carl's Tavern for food & brews and Ohana for local Steamboat gifts. The location made it so easy to hop in the car and drive to local trails for hiking as well. Plus, the Yampa River is right out your door if you're a fisherman. Hats off to Steamboat Lodging Company for the cleanliness of the condo and always staying in communication with us. 5 stars!
